Apple TV Viewing
Pixelview Player for Apple TV shows a Pixelview session on a screening-room or conference-room TV. Apple TV is an SDR viewer: HDR sessions are tone-mapped to SDR.
Add a stream with your iPhone or iPad
- Open Pixelview Player on Apple TV and display its QR code.
- Open Pixelview Player on iPhone or iPad.
- Choose the session and select View on Apple TV, or scan the Apple TV QR code.
- Authorize the session.
- Start playback on Apple TV.
You can also enter the Stream ID and password on the Apple TV, but the QR handoff saves typing.
Authorized sessions stay in the project list with title, thumbnail and status (live, paused, offline, full or unavailable). Move through them with the Siri Remote; the play/pause button controls basic playback.
Good to know
- Apple TV is for watching only. Chat, annotations and video chat are fuller in the browser and on iPhone or iPad, and Admin is not available on Apple TV.
- Name projects clearly so they are easy to pick on the TV.
- Use a wired connection or strong Wi-Fi, confirm the stream is live in Admin, and test the exact TV before a client screening.
