Premiere Pro, Direct to Pixelview ​

Premiere Pro 24 and later can send playback straight to Pixelview over SRT, with no capture device or extra software. It is the quickest way to try Pixelview; for regular client sessions, Premiere Pro through OBS has proven more stable.

If Premiere feeds a monitor through a Blackmagic or AJA device, Pixelview Desktop or OBS Studio with a capture device gives better quality. See Choose How to Stream.

You need an active project in Admin (Create a Project, or start a free trial).

1. Turn on Premiere's SRT output ​

  1. Open Settings → Playback (Preferences → Playback on older versions).
  2. Tick both Video and Audio for Adobe SRT.

2. Enter your Pixelview details ​

  1. In Admin, click Setup Instructions and choose Adobe Premiere Pro, Direct SRT connection.
  2. In Premiere, click the gear icon next to Adobe SRT and copy the values from Admin:

  1. Save, and wait for the thumbnail in Admin to show your picture.
  2. Open the viewer link from Admin to check picture and sound, then invite your viewers. See Watch in a Web Browser.

If it does not connect ​

  • Make sure the project is active in Admin.
  • Re-copy the values from Setup Instructions. They belong to this encoder only.
  • Some office networks block SRT. Try another network, or use Premiere Pro through OBS, which passes more firewalls.
