Sign In to the Hardware Encoder ​

The encoder has its own settings page that you open in a web browser. You only need it to connect to Wi-Fi, change video levels, or change the bitrate (see Hardware Encoder).

Option 1: Over your network (Ethernet) ​

  1. Find the encoder's IP address. Your router lists connected devices, usually under DHCP or Connected devices. Your IT contact can help.
  2. Type the address into a web browser on a computer on the same network, for example 192.168.1.207.
  3. Sign in with the username Admin and the password printed on the back of the box.

Option 2: Through the encoder's own Wi-Fi ​

Use this if you cannot find the IP address. The encoder broadcasts its own setup network.

  1. On a laptop, join the Wi-Fi network with a name like A304210101001.
  2. The Wi-Fi password is the last eight digits of that name. For the example above, it is 10101001.
  3. Open a web browser and go to 192.168.48.1.
  4. Sign in with the username Admin and the password printed on the back of the box.

While you are on the encoder's Wi-Fi, your laptop has no internet. Rejoin your normal network when you are done.
