Magewell Encoder

Pre-configured and ready to stream

Your Magewell encoder arrives fully configured with your unique stream settings. Simply connect the cables and you're live in seconds - no complex setup required.

Getting started​

  • Connect SDI, ethernet and power.
  • Login using the link written on the backside of the box.

Change bitrate​

  • Login to your encoder
  • Click "Encoding Parameters" and then Advanced settings. Change bitrate and save.
  • Then go to the Pixelview Admin page and change Chrome/Firefox h264 bitrate in Settings. This is the setting we use to generate a h264 on our server that's used for Chrome/Firefox since they don't support h265.

Adjust color settings​

Your box is configured for Limited video levels when you get it. To change that:

  • Login to your encoder
  • Click General on the left menu to access settings for Color Format and Quantization
